Blogs Will Change Your Business
"We know, we know: Most of you are sick to death of blogs. Go ahead and bellyache about blogs. But you cannot afford to close your eyes to them, because they're simply the most explosive outbreak in the information world since the Internet itself. And they're going to shake up just about every business -- including yours.

Why There's No Escaping the Blog
"
Freewheeling bloggers can boost your product—or destroy it. Either way, they've become a force business can't afford to ignore."

Background

The New England KM Cluster® is a professional, academic and business community focused on knowledge management and enterprise collaboration in the greater New England area.

The New England KM Cluster is devoted to creating a common understanding, shared vision and focused action regarding applied KM and enterprise collaboration for business. Results are achieved through quarterly, day-long themed community conversation events is October, January and May.

The global KM Cluster is a networked user community-of-practice. It is vendor-agnostic and draws support only from participants.

The purpose of the New England KM Cluster organization is to enable and sponsor a New England community of practitioners, executives, academics and researchers.

Several KM communities already exist in the Northeast and Boston. The intention of New England KM Cluster® is to augment and strengthen the regional KM ecosystem and provide access to the global KM Cluster community.

The mission of the New England KM Cluster is to fundamentally advance the art and science of KM and its application to business.

KM Cluster Benefits

Active participation in local community has always been critical for sustained business achievement and professional growth. To master today's fast-moving business environment a high degree of externally facing interaction and conversation is required.

By providing a KM venue for people, processes and technologies, the KM Cluster facilitates productive collaboration between business communities, thought leaders and technologists. This collaboration is a core mechanism for creating wealth and new business opportunity.

Transorganizational social networks are elemental to thriving business ecosystems.

KM Cluster participants enjoy the following benefits:

-  Interaction with other local KM practitioners, experts and leaders
-  Access to future-focused technologies and management practices
-  Development of shared business context and KM vocabulary
-  Participation in a global community of practice and building strong KM relationships

The New England KM Cluster charter is to host community events, on a quarterly basis, for Knowledge Management professionals and business leaders.
